Hormone Yoga Therapy Training Course – Seda Shambhavi

Hormone Yoga is a combination of Hatha, Kundalini Yoga and Tibetan meditation techniques which comprise special pranayamas, bandhas, mudras, asanas, prana directing techniques, stress reducing and managing practices to support and heal the hormone system within the body. Both men and women suffer from increasing imbalances in the endocrine/hormone system due to the high demands of everyday life. They are treated almost exclusively with hormone replacement therapy by western medicine, which can have numerous side effects especially immune system, as well as depriving the hormone system of the capability to get back to its own balance.

Nowadays almost every woman has PMS-problems and the natural cylces in a woman’s life have no recognition as something wonderful and natural, that we should live in tune with for its harmonious function. Women started to experience early menopause and there is a growing number of men at the age of 35-45 years who are suffering from typical symptoms of testosterone deficiency, such as fatigue, sleep disorder, erectile dysfunction or depressive moods, often due to chronic stress.

Hormone Yoga Therapy (HYT) uses the body’s own self-healing and regulatory power to balance physical, mental, spiritual and energetic imbalances connected with the endocrine system. Also for men hormone yoga is well suited to bring vigor and vitality to the whole system, especially the hormonal glands. In young women HYT is suitable to alleviate PMS symptoms or increase the chances for pregnancy by eliminating secondary infertility causes.

HYT as it increases estradiol level, also helps in the prevention of osteoporosis and cardiovascular diseases. Menopause is a controversial subject. For many people it is considered as a phase of intellectual decline, loss of femininity and “the beginning of growing old.” It is very important to understand that it is actually the phase of wisdom in women’s lives mentally and spiritually. Hormone Yoga Therapy (HYT) brings a holistic approach to decrease of reproduction hormones in the body with a series of exercises to prepare your body for menopause. If you want to go through menopause in good health and without symptoms, start practicing HYT. The symptoms may appear years before and can go on some years after menopause if there is a decline of hormones for any reason. Statistically, when women reach 35, their estrogen level begins to decrease and symptoms may appear, such as: hot flushes, dry mucosa, tiredness, anguish, depression, hair loss, dry skin, insomnia, migraine, joint pain and decreased libido.

So HYT is your choice for aging gracefully young.

Seda Shambhavi as well as teaching how to practice the classical hormone yoga therapy sequence as developed by the Brasilian yogini and doctor of psychology Dinah Rodriguez, she also introduces her own designed two specific sequences for reproduction hormones and for thyroid and metabolic hormones to address the problems directly. She also gives a great deal of knowledge from her Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine background especially for nutrition and life style adjustments. Her theory lessons comprise a thorough look at the hormones like dopamine, serotonine, endorphine which affect our daily life tremendously and micro-nutrition, which is also a very important element in our modern lives.
All yoga teachers who would like to specialize in HYT and who suffer severe hormonal problems can join the course. Teachers will receive a 60hrs YACEP TTC certificate whereas non-teachers will receive a participation certificate.
